How To Defend Your Own Box
Your own box is the area where every action counts. One misstep, one bad player switch and it's all over. The opponent is through and scores. In this lesson we explain how you can avoid this from happening by understanding the typical patterns of how the opponent attacks.

- The typical pattern for the opponent to create chances is to play passes between two or three CMs to open up passing lanes to players at the edge of the box.
- You as the defending player should try to keep those CMs in check with your CMs by observing their dribbling and passing directions.
- When you're not able to get a CM in a good position to put pressure on the opponent's CM and the opponent is threatening a pass at the edge of the box, it's crucial that you don't hesitate and switch to your CB.
