How to train finishing

Getting down the correct follow through when finishing is really important because the cleaner you set up your shot, the higher the chance of it going in. In this lesson we break down how you can practice finishing setups efficiently.

Training steps

  • head into skill games and practice the following scenarios in the shooting section: shooting line, dribble shot, fast shots

  • start out simple by going for your setup touch in the easiest possible way and then move on to harder finishing variations, setting up your finish with a ball roll etc.
