You can green time a finesse shot, by holding R1 and push shoot  twice?

When the ball is approaching your player, like when he is still a few meters away and your player has enough time to go up for the ball. This the time to press the shooting button for the first time.

How do you green time headers? When is the first button push?

Yes, you can still finish with only one button press

If you have timed finishing enabled, will the one time press shoot button still work?

Powershots are generally weak. They might work, but it's not worth the risk in my opinion.

Assisted is the safe bet here, however the precision shooting is kind of risk&reward. If you execute it good it comes with the benefit but if you fail than there is no way it goes in.
