Switching sides is the essential mechanic in FC 24. Right after switching sides you can create incredible opportunities. In this playthrough, we show you how to do it.

- There are two methods for switching sides. One of them is to go for a long ball with full power, the other is to switch sides rapidly with ground passes.
- Once you play the ball towards a side, the defense will shift towards there. Take a look at the radar and acquire your long ball target.
- Going for a long pass with full power will allow you to switch sides, afterwards you need to pace up the game and use the space ahead of you towards your favor.
- While the ball is in the air you can call a player back by pressing the R1/RB, or make a player run with the L1/LB button. It is all up to your imagination.
- Short ground passes, especially the driven passes are very effective while switching sides, which creates a huge gap.
