Key takeaways for this lesson:

  • Play a comfortable formation that you know and that you're familiar with.
  • Play really good and strong players "out of position" with no chemistry bonus instead of weaker players that might get chemistry, but are still worse. With the new chemistry system, players off chem don't get penalties for having no chemistry. So most often a good player off chem is better than a weak player with full chemistry.
  • Draft strategy: start with the attack through the midfield to defense. After the starting eleven is drafted, try to eliminate weak points by starting with the correspondent slots for the substitutes.
  • Prioritize nations with a lot of other good players (France for example) to help building chemistry.
  • Try to avoid having players in your starting eleven that you want to sub out right away. Instead try to make proper use of your substitutions. Bringing on fresh players can be helpful in close matches.
  • Take the time to set up at least one tactic. There are default gameplans set up that might not suit your way of playing. It only takes around one minute to set up one gameplan and it can help you to win the game quite a lot.
